Hello to all visitors from the Ottawa Citizen! A huge thank you going out to Peter Hum and the Tech Weekly section at The Ottawa Citizen for taking an interest in podcasting, today's hottest media phenomenon. All artists featured today can be found at: fadingwaysmusic.com Another original show as I catch up with fadingwaysmusic.com's president and founder Neil Leyton on a farm in Portugal for a discussion about Creative Commons licensing and where it is going today. Included are tracks from Fadings Ways Records artists including Neil himself! As always your feedback is appreciated.

Wed, 6 April 2005 Edition 006 of The Daily Grind takes us on a visit to Fading Ways Records. Check out the FWR mission statement. I managed to squeeze in a few websites but ended up skipping the Tech Tip of the Day due to time restrictions. Moving on. I announced in today's show my intention to change the name of the podcast to The Grind out of respect for a lad who infrequently podcasts out of the U.S. as The Daily Grind Coffee. His podcast started several months before mine. So as to avoid confusion between the two shows I am renaming my show The Grind (also freeing me up from my "calling the show 'Daily' but not airing it daily" guilt all in one fell swoop.Yaaa!) Featured artists today are:

Fri, 1 April 2005 ARRRG! I can't bring myself to archive this show offline yet. Featured artists today are Irish and UK sensation: Flook This instrumental group is incredible. A reel sonic treat. Join me as we find out more about the band. Although I found some great pics of the band in concert I would encourage you to visit their website, buy some CD's perhaps and check out their roadtour pics so I don't have to rip off someones' great photos without permission. (though I'm working on it! Permission that is not stealing them.) I want to send a great big thank you to "Doc" Johnson from celticcultures.com.
Finally a show with production levels I can live with. Surely the best sound quality yet of all the shows - and the quality of all future shows lets hope!. As always your feedback is appreciated.

Thu, 31 March 2005 Just a note from the basement studios of the bovinefreepress.com to let you know that I have not gone off the air. Instead I have had a few technical problems that include the terminal expiration of my OS. Fun times last night doing a systems rebuild and restoring my backups. Now I'm really thankful for that external HD. On a more positive note many of my old technical problems are resolved and I have several shows circling the outer markers like flights ready for landing. Anyone who got a copy of show #005 - well if your copy works .. congratulations. For those of you suffering through the learning curve with me my aplogies I have now resolved the bug in Audacity using multiple sample rates. I hope. In a strange way its good to do a somputer system rebuild as it lets you clean everything up in a Spring Cleanupish sorta way. Unfortunately, my Mixcast Live is still a no go. Bummer. More editions hot off the presses soon. Rob McLeodThe Daily Grind As always your feedback is appreciated.
