Sat, 17 February 2007 What the heck happened to podcastersparadise.com and bovinefreepress.com?Well here it is folks. Throughout the summer I attempted various recording projects with mixed results except for two. The first is that I was not happy with the "McGiver" like quality of my "recording studio". Which happily led directly to my new iMac and OS X. Which led directly to the second result. A gutting of my basement and building of a proper recording studio with the desire to attain a controllable sound environment and electrical/electronic isolation.. And now, months later, I am almost there. All that needs to be done is to get the window and door in and we are back in business. Speaking of business if you would like to see what else has kept me busy of late then please feel free to visit my business sites: http://icommplus.ca and http://dancemachine.ca I look forward to getting back to podcasting on a regular basis and expanding podcastersparadise.com as a showcase for new artists, content and talent. Please check back soon. Until then why not listen to a back episode? Thanks for visiting podcastersparadise.com! RoB podcasterparadise@gmail.com Category: general -- posted at: 2:37 PM Comments[2] |

Wed, 8 June 2005 ![]() Show Notes for Edition 018 We are back... finally!
It is time for a new edition of The Grind. Today I am joined by special guest This is part two of set two recorded at Brockville, Ontario. I really like this theatre style matrix recording. Unfortunately there are about six seconds at the beginning of the set that are slightly distorted. Due to the live nature of the event I have conditioned but could not cut out this section. However, listen on with confidence. Alright, the truth is I was listening to the recording of set one during the break and forgot to reset a few little bitty knobs to their recording positions, Arrrrg!. It was also quite a shock to the ears. Although flawed this is probably my favorite "concert theatre" matrix type recording that I captured. It has some cool time signature changes that blend seemlessly together creating a unique synergy - says I. Stayed tuned for more upcoming LIVE Flook sets in the future including a special acoustic only recording of the "Flook Unplugged" evening at The Georgian House in historic Alexandria.

Sunday Super Slam - Concert Special.
The long awaited Dub Trinity and Chet Singh show recorded live at the Mercury Lounge in Ottawa. A mix of socially conscious dub poetry and reggae music. Too cool. Also mixed into the show is an interview that I did with Chet from his home. Special thanks to Beau Dixon. Sun, 8 May 2005 ![]() Dear Listeners and Subscribers, Unfortunately, due to restrictions on how RSS works (or at least my understanding of how it works!) I cannot change the names of shows, particularly once "the dispersal" has begun. Most listeners do not want to receive my HUGE podcasts (see next point) again, at a lower quality, but with consistent ID3 tags. Editor's note: Holy crap! I realized in hindsight, as I was working away, that I was assuming most applications reading enclosures will check against the MP3 names listed. If they also check against the ID3 tags themselves to decide wether or not do download them then I am in for a lot of flames. However (TCN) will be happy! So that (TCN) can sleep at night I have remade all the ID3 tags in the current back catalogue so that any new subscribers getting the old shows will have a spiffy playlist in iTunes. All new shows will carry the new ID3 tag format that I have used for about the last 4 shows. This should speed up downloads and also let new subscribers getting the olds shows not slow things down as much, which brings up RSS feeds. Thanks.
